This one's for you... Alisa

Apparently Rob and I aren't natural born bloggers. Appologies to our many followers. ;)

For Sept. 11, Pepperdine put up TONS of flags at Alumni Park. Actually, each flag represented one person that died on 9/11 (in the buildings and on the flights I think). We went down and walked around all the flags one evening.
Later in September Rob and I went to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. We packed a picnic in our picnic basket, ate it on the HB grounds, then enjoyed the music of the Caribbean. The best part at the end was the Fireworks Spectacular! It was awesome. :)

Rob has been playing flag football on his intermural team with his friends. He plays at quite the location! Rob = stud.

And then most importantly, and most recently, Jax and Scott came to visit!! We had tons of fun with them. It was actually really action-packed!

On 3rd Street in Santa Monica at a pizza by the slice place.

We got bikes in Santa Monica one day and rode down the boardwalk, through Santa Monica, through Venice, and then through Marina del Rey. = very fun. Ooooh dang, I don't have the rest of the pictuers on me. But we also went to Vegas, on a spur of the moment trip. We saw the Cirque du Soleil show, "O", which was really cool, and we saw the Hoover Dam, which was.... not as cool as "O". ;)

We also went to Pasadena and got ice cream at 21 flavors (=similar to Cold Stone but with frozen yogurt and TONS of add ins). We also attempted to go to the Pacific Design Center one day, but apparently it's closed on Saturdays.

Thanks for visiting us! We had lots and lots of fun! When we live somewhere lame, we will still expect visits.... please. We can't wait to visit you guys, and Alfie, in less than 3 weeks!!

And that is life for now. :)

California Love

Rob and I can't wait for these faves to come visit us. It will definately trump Halloween on the "fun things to do in October" list. Jax, maybe Mom can give you some pointers on celebrity spotting.

Lets Make It Official..

We are now bloggers. I didn't think the day would come, at least not for a few years... but it has. We aren't experts at the art of blogging yet, soooo, hopefully our blog will improve with time.

First item of business, my parents came to visit me in California last week! It was great! They did lots of fun things while I was at work, and when I was not at work, we did lots of fun things together. I hadn't done a lot of the tourist-y things in LA, so Mom and Dad played tour guide to me and took me around! Me and Mom even did one of those site-seeing, celebrity, convertible-van tours. Yes, there were a few moments when we wanted to sink low in our seats (ie: driving down Rodeo Drive), but in general it was really fun and we saw a lot of cool things.

At the Hollywood Bowl for Faith Hill Concert
At the Griffith Observatory
Mom and Pops at the Hollywood Ball.

Thanks for coming out Mom and Dad! I had lots of fun and can't wait to see you next time!

Second item of business, I'm back with Rob in DC. It's fabulous. Yesterday we got tickets to go to the top of the Washington Monument, but when we showed up at 7:30 pm, they told us all tours were canceled because lightning hit the monument earlier that day. Lame. Rob's family is coming into town this weekend, so I'm sure we'll have lots of fun with them!

Lastly, welcome home from Africa, Andrew!

Check out the Video!!

Fireworks!!!

We caught most of the grand finale on video. It was a perfect night for the fireworks. Not too hot or cold. We rode our bikes down to the National Mall and caught the show. Check out the video.

Fourth Of July

The fireworks were great!! It was awesome being in Washington D.C. for such a spectacular event. We had great seats on the National Mall and could see the whole show. There was like a million people there all crowded onto the lawn.
